Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This privacy policy applies to the Prince TODO iOS app (the “App”), published under the bundle identifier com.prince.todoapp.

The App is a planner that a family shares. It needs an account, because what you add is kept on our server so it is on every phone you sign in on and visible to the family members you choose. This page says plainly what is stored, who can see it, and what the outside services we use receive.

Your account

You can create an account with an email address and password, with Sign in with Apple, or with Sign in with Google. We store:

We only ask Apple and Google for your name and email address. We never receive your Apple or Google password, contacts, calendar or anything else from those accounts.

What you add to the App

Tasks, groceries, events, ideas, notes, habits, drawings, gym workouts, body-weight entries, a profile photo and a family photo are stored on our server so they sync between your devices.

Our server is Supabase, hosted in the European Union (Paris). Supabase’s privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy

Apple Health

If you turn on Health sync in the Gym section, the App reads your weight, lean mass and body-fat readings, and the workouts, heart rate, active energy and date of birth your Apple Watch recorded. Weigh-ins and the heart rate, energy and distance of a matched workout are saved with your gym data on our server so they appear on your other devices. Your date of birth is used on the phone to work out heart-rate zones and is not sent anywhere.

Health data is never used for advertising or shared with anyone outside your family, and you can switch Health access off at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

Location

The App does not track or share your location. The family map is switched off, and nothing about where you are is sent to our server.

If you choose to show local weather, the App reads your approximate position on the phone, rounds it to about a kilometre, and sends only that rounded position to Open-Meteo to fetch the forecast. Open-Meteo does not receive anything else about you. Its terms: https://open-meteo.com/en/terms

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the App stores a push token for your phone and your time zone on our server, so reminders and the daily summary arrive at the right time. Notifications are delivered through Expo’s push service and Apple’s.

Data collected by third-party services

Sentry (crash reports)

If the App crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to Sentry’s EU-hosted service in Germany so we can fix it. A report includes the error and where in the App’s code it happened, the App version, device model and iOS version. Reports do not include your name, email address or anything you typed. Screen recording is switched off.

Expo (app updates and launch speed)

The App can receive small updates without a new App Store download. When it opens, it asks Expo’s servers whether an update is ready, sending the App version and a random identifier for the installation. It also measures how long it takes to open and sends those timings, with the device model and iOS version, to Expo’s EAS Observe service. Nothing you added to the App is sent.

Expo’s privacy policy: https://expo.dev/privacy

We do not use advertising, advertising identifiers or analytics that track you across apps, and we do not sell your data.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the App under Settings. Deleting it removes your account, your private notes and ideas, and your profile photo. Items you added to a family stay with that family, so the others do not lose a shared shopping list; if you were the last member, the whole family and everything in it is deleted. If you signed in with Apple, the App also tells Apple to remove its link to your Apple ID.

Children

The App can be used by families, but accounts are meant to be created by adults or with a parent’s help. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without a parent’s involvement.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and similar laws elsewhere you may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Email us and we will answer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes or as the law requires. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
